I just noticed SnarlMine memory usage just keeps on growing. At the end of a day it may take 100mb of memory, only about 5mb of ought to be enough. After some searching it appears that the problem was caused by some sloppy code that reads the activity page from Redmine. Each check ate a little extra memory.

So I uploaded a new version of SnarlMine, changes:

• Memory leak fixed
• AutoRun now works for [All Projects] too

I just realized that SnarlMine couldn’t fetch activity of multiple projects. Redmine happens to have a Activity page for all projects, so I decided to add that option to SnarlMine also:

I received some comments on SnarlMine, so I created an updated version.

Changelist:

• Fix for some random “Access violation” popups.
• Settings are now remembered, also when starting manually.
• “Start Automatically” now actuall works.
• Grey icon when fetch failed.
• Popup duration now configurable using tray menu.
• Fetch now option.
• Option to clear avatar cache.
• And most important: Typo fixed…

Years ago I saw a little puzzle in a local newspaper, a little game where you must find the shortest route from start to the target. I thought it was pretty funny, and i created a little generator for it. Recently I stumbled upon its code, found on a dusty corner of my pc, and couldn’t resist to take a look. Except for some bugs, i found it pretty fun to play, and wondered why I never finished it.

So I decided to fix some of the bugs and update the looks a little and here it is:

SnarlMine

I added a little tool, which I use for fun, called SnarlMine. It shows notifications of Remine Activity using Snarl.

TheORB

A lot has happened to TheORB lately, the only problem is: Nothing is in a state good enough to release it. A lot of functionality has been lost in some dramatic changes. Most notably the whole settings screen has disappeared.

Most notable changes:

• Linux builds, a commandline version and a GTK version.
• XMPP support, it can connect to Google Talk, Jabber.org and others, like OpenFire

If you have a account at Jabber.org or Goolge Talk, you may talk to the development version of  TheORB if you like, its name is: theorb@jabber.org. It will respond to commands it knows. For a list of commands, just say “help”.

Finaly, something online here. After multiple attempts to create my own CMS, i decided to give up and started using WordPress. I created a custom skin for it, and here we go.
